Down the Costa del Sol along from Marbella and San Pedro is Estepona,
here is a fishing village which has managed to preserve a peaceful town
atmosphere, and in places still provides a good example of a traditional
Andalusian village.
Estepona is one of the few coastal towns that has succeeded in maintaining
its pueblo charm and character, despite the onslaught of tourism. Notwithstanding,
all the tourist facilities are here, including hotels, restaurants, leisure
and cultural activities, and shops. The marina provides a contrast with
the old town, it has two sections, one is the quieter fishing orientated
side and the other is more sport orientated, it also offers a number of
bars and restaurants.
