Costa Del Sol Property
The last town at the Western end of Málaga province, with boundaries reaching east to Casares and
west to Cádiz, Manilva stretches along the coast for nine kilometres.
The defense tower at La Punta Chullera gives us a clue to the defensive
position taken by the town in times past. The area has not become a main
part of the tourist industry, but provides ample attractions to make it
worthy of a visit. The newly developed recreational zone of La
Duquesa includes a golf course and attractive sporting marina with
many excellent bars and restaurants.
Wine producing is the main activity in the area and the vineyards can
be found in the northwest corner of the municipality. The first
week of September marks the grape harvest and is celebrated by the
festival known as La Fiesta de Vendima which includes a grape treading
ceremony.
Lovers of nature will enjoy the diversity of Manilva´s landscape and the peaceful
country walks up to the forest of Llanos de Tábanos, a favourite with local artists.
